British Summer Time is here!
Here we are in April, and the clocks just went forward this last weekend. We all lost an hour’s sleep, but we gained longer evenings. We can look forward to warmer days and those pleasant evenings going out with friends, to the pub or to your favourite restaurant.
Then, in the middle of the month, we’ve got the Easter fortnight from April 12th to 27th
This is followed closely by the May Bank Holiday weekend 3rd to 5th which, no doubt, many will add to and take as a week’s holiday.
So, this is the beginning a more favourable times for all in the catering industry.
The Easter Fortnight
The true Easter weekend, 18th April to 21st inclusive will mean that some people will be able to extend their normal weekend by 2 nights from Thursday through to Sunday inclusive.
On the other hand, there will be those who have decided to take the whole fortnight which provides a possible increase in catering during the two weeks.
The May Bank Holiday
The May Bank Holiday, Saturday 3rd May to Monday 5th also extends the possibilities of dining out by an extra night or further if people use it as a week’s holiday.
